THE KALI  FAMILY

The general typical constitution is the fat, chubby person.  So-called plethoric people who have a false Anaemia or a Pseudoplethora; or fleshy people who are watery, Anaemia and obese.

The group’s characteristic effects include paralytic effects, weakness, Ulceration of mucous membranes and skin, tissue wasting, Myocardial weakness, deficiency of red corpuscles, early morning aggravation - 2 –5 a.m. which is pronounced in some of the Kalis and mild in others.

There are sharp cutting, quick, jabbing pains; nearly all the pains are better from motion.

Cardiac Depression (soft, irregular and intermittent pulse) is characteristic.

Kali conditions are as a rule afebrile.  The mind  of the Kalis is not as clearly defined as that of the Natrums.

The symptoms are apt to affect one side more (left) - except in Kali carbonicum.  The Kalis are anti-tubercular remedies.  All the Kalis are aggravated after any disturbance of the body fluid balance, especially after Coition.

Amel.  warmth, rest, and plentiful amount of substantial food.

In general, the Kalis are never constipated; however each salt may have some constipation in its pathogenesis.  Most of the Kalis hate cold and are made worse by it.

  Certain excretions are offensive.

The Kalis principally affect the mucous membranes, the cardiovascular system including the blood itself, the kidneys, connective tissue and glandular organs.  The motor cardiac centres are influenced by Potassium.

The Kali mind is forgetful, with mental lassitude and sluggishness.  Kalis are easily annoyed and irritated by trifles.  They have a harsh temper when aroused, and one apprehensive, ill at ease and rather averse to society.

In the Kidneys, increased Urine and elimination of the alkali salts so that the total solids are increased. “The Potassium salts have more relation specifically to the solid tissues than to the plasma.  The fibrous tissues are particularly affected, the ligaments of joints, of the uterus and back.  It corresponds to conditions in which these tissues are relaxed.” (J.H.CLARKE)
  (Donald A. DAVIS, HG. 8/81)

Appearance is often a good indicator of the Kali constitutional type.  Kalis are often large, obese, soft, pale people with swelling about the eyes and who flush readily.  They lack drama, are quite respectable and law-abiding and are stuck in their ways.

Anxiety is a Keynote of the Kalis, and not surprisingly; Kalis are very ordered, while life itself is forever in flux. Kali  bromatum is the most anxious, followed by Kali arsenicum; both suffer panic attacks.  Kali phosphoricumtoo, is quite anxious, but mere hysterical than panicked.  There are lesser degrees of anxiety in this other Kalis down to Kali bichromicum, in which the anxiety is not readily evident.

Kalis also suffer from degenerative arthritis which is worse from midnight to 5 a.m.

Other Kali complaints are chronic Otitis (Kali sulphuricum and Kali muriaticum) and Sciatica (Kali iodatum).
  (Nancy HERRICK, HT. May /93)

 KALI  BICHROMICUM

Sciatica:  Mostly left-sided; weakness as concomitant; small spot, pains.  Shifting locality; pressure, standing agg; walk amel.  Warm wet (humid, sultry).  Weather agg; Weather changes agg.  Kali-bi. is chilly.
  (V.GHEGAS, HL. 3/93)

Valuable in Hiatus hernia with lower oesophageal narrowing and stricture and regurgitation or vomiting of stringy mucous.  Headaches often with Dyspepsia, worse light, noise; better warmth, pressure.

  Anxiety rising in the chest.
   (Hamish W.BOYD, BHJ. 1/78)

It is one of the seasonal remedies.

It is a funny thing, Kali-bi., gets a wandering rheumatism in the summer, but if you find Kali-bi. patients in bed with their rheumatism, which is awfully bad, their covers are tucked up round their necks.  I have often noticed they complain that they have got a summer rheumatism, that probably they feel a bit worse from the heat, but I have found dozens of times that Kali bi. patients whatever is wrong with them - cough, catarrh, rheumatism or gastric symptoms - lie in bed with their clothes well up, and tucked in round their necks.  They have the coughs and respiratory symptoms mostly in Spring and Autumn.
   (M.G.BLACKIE, BHJ. 1/77)

Though the general type is obese, in chronic conditions the subject may be emaciated, even cachetic.
Generally chilly and likes to cover up warmly, but apt to suffer from a change to warm weather.  Usually better in summer, but sudden onset of hot weather agg., especially rheumatic conditions.  Drowsiness with prostration, can hardly write a letter.
Indolent corneal ulcers, surprisingly not much pain, lacrymation, or photophobia.

(D.M.GIBSON, HG. 11/73)

Like all Kalis; plump, heavy, chilly feverless, brutal people.  They are typical insensitive Germanic, beer drinker, rheumatic diathesis.  They are known for alternations, for instance bowel and throat complains, for wandering pains and distress in small spots, and for diagonal pains.  Ropy, golden discharges, from whatever locality.  Headaches from suppressed coryza, with sinus trouble.  Loss of smell and taste.  Snuffles.  Typical follicular tonsillitis.  Glazed glistening tongue with raised papillae.
Metallic or brassy cough with pain in the shoulders.  Better lying down.  Post-nasal crusts, Casts of the bronchi, Duodenal ulcer, pain extending through to the back(opposite Cuprum where pains extend back to front).
Desire hot drinks and has a sea-sickness relieved at the bouillon hour.
Pain at the root of the nose.  Difficulty in digesting starches.  Alternation of spring and fall complaints.

Although the remedy appears not to have many mental symptoms, it is one of the group of brutal stoical remedies.

  (E.W.HUBBARD, HG. 7/71)

Kali bichromicum patient is chilly, desires beer, has rheumatic pains in the extremities, localized pain in small spots. Sciatica on the left side and Nephritis with gastric troubles.      (DG)

 KALI  BROMATUM

Fat and fair, lethargic; usually rather depressed.  In fact I think of them as heavy, dull, adolescents.
They have a characteristic: A boy who came for his awful acne, had a Kali brom. Symptom which I find quite constant: he never once stopped moving his foot.  It moved up and down.  If he was not moving his foot he was moving a hand.  They always have this restlessness of their feet.  They may at times have a degree of twitching with it. If they are not exerting themselves they are apt to fall asleep, wherever they are.  Their hands legs and feet are apt to go numb and they say they are uncomfortable. I always think this is why they move their feet.

The acne is always on top of a coarse skin.  The worst acne I ever see (possibly  Natrum mur. can be as bad.).  there are no other indications.  They have come about their spots.  The acne gets absolutely terrible pre-menstrually.  They are very self-conscious about it and it worries them a lot.  They are apt to feel that they are going off their heads if something cannot be done about it.

One of the hot-blooded Kalis: Worse from heat, hot rooms, summer.  Every now and then they get generally chilly.  This school boy used to come in and say, “Oh, isn’t it a chilly day.” Well, I know perfectly well that he felt the heat intensely, so this would always surprise me.

Apart from the acne, there are four other can be wonderful:

1. Choreic symptoms after an awful shock.
2. Convulsive conditions in kidney disease.
3. Infantile diarrhoea with meningeal irritation, a sort of nondescript fluid diarrhoea.
4. Epilepsy; worse at new moon, just before or during periods; fits followed by severe  headaches.
A girl of 17 says that always before a fit she feels as if she was swelling up and cannot stop it.

   (M.G. BLACKIE)

Deep phobic states, and a state of agitation like Stramonium.  They are often loquacious.  Their restlessness resembles Arsenicum. Among the many fears, is their fear of their own aggressive impulses to kill or do violence (Ars. and Merc. have the same).  Restless hands and/or feet or wringing hands.  Nightmares, deep paransia and delusional states/Stram.)  The typical Kali bromatum enters our office in a flagrantly phobic and agitated state, hardly able to contain himself.  It has been used (in Allopathy) in Epilepsy, to control the nervous system; it is an appropriate indication.  They may describe past traumatic events in their lives, which may appear unbelievable.  Whether these were real or part of the patient’s delusional state, it is better to accept the patients’ feelings as real and work with them.

  (Roger MORRISON, JAIH. 2/93)

 KALI CARBONICUM

Sciatica: 2 - 4 a.m., cannot turn in bed, must get up and lie in the desired position.  Chilly remedy.
(V.GHEGAS, HL. 3/93)

Pale, soft, sweating, flabby-looking people.  They sweat on the slightest exertion and consequently easily tire out.  A general weakness, which is one of the things they complain of.  Want to sit down, because joints and the back feel as if giving away.  Often flat-footed.

They have a very interesting mental picture.  Easily confused.  Starts on one job, then thinks of something else she has go to do, uncommon to find the Kali-carb who has started on six jobs and feels quite incapable of finishing any of them.  They forget where they have put things.  They get very confused and do not know to straighten things out.  They get so exasperated that they quite often fear they are going mental and that their brain is giving way.  They feel that there is an  inability to get things done.

Then they begin to talk more quickly, they use wrong words and say the wrong things.  And one very characteristic thing about them is that they can get very jealous of the people they work with in their office because they are doing things better and get everything done and the patient cannot get things done and get very annoyed.  And then they are  worn out and say they have no physical or mental energy and do not know what to do.

They get full of fears during this state of confusion: that they are going to lose their job, terrified of poverty, of the future; that they are going to die; because of this fear of poverty it is a very common thing to find them hoarding things.

If they are mistaken, or accused unjustly in any way they are very apt just to sit down under it and make no effort at all.

Of all remedies often this is accompanied by a history of a lot of Catarrh.

I wouldn’t give Kali-c. unless the patient is intensely chilly.  I call Kali-c one of  the most chilly of all the remedies there are.  When they are ill especially if it is a chest condition of any kind they complain of coldness of the chest.  All the Kalis. are apt to have this, but the one that complains most of coldness and is most susceptible, is Kali-carb.

A queer, peculiar symptom is that instead of being cheered up by a hot meal and drink, they feel much worse for it.

They get hot and they and then they go out and get very chilled and feel awful on the whole they are worse for eating.  As a matter of fact that is a Kali. symptom.  They are most drowsy; they get a distension after food and especially in the night they are wakened up at 2 - 5 am. aggravation.  A little later than some of the others.

The sharp, cutting, burning pains flitting from place to place, definitely better for heat.  What they like to do is move round very quietly and have a nice hot place in which to sit.  They do not want pressure on the painful part.

Neuralgia (Trigeminal, etc.) worse draft of air of washing; feel like red hot wires.  Sensitive to touch.

Kali-carb. is quite as catarrhal as Kali-bich. and comes on in cold weather and worse after weather changes: nearly always have some kind of nasal discharge.  They get overheated in a stuffy room and they go out into the cold air and get chilled and this is so often the history of your Kali-carb. patient.  Pouring nasal catarrh with a temporal headache.  The catarrhal condition spreads rapidly to the throat and they get a dry, painful, hot throat.  The Tonsils are enlarged and if you look at the throat there is a lot of tenacious white or yellow mucus that has collected at the back.

They sometimes tell you - any of the Kalis. may do - that there is a lump in the throat and has to be swallowed.

Bronchitis with a dry, hacking, spasmodic cough.  Do not get much sputum with their Cough; as a rule the phlegm is swallowed.  The paroxyms of coughing can be very, very violent and may go on to vomiting.  Worse 2 - 4 am.

Kali-carb. can clear up Pneumonia, but never in the early stages.  It is well established, they have all sorts of symptoms, a lot of cough.  They like to be propped up in bed. If it is a lobar Pneumonia they never lie on the affected side.  They can often be confused with Hepar sulph. because they are so cold and they get a paroxysmal cough which is very like Hepar sulph.  Also the sore throat, glands in the neck, enlarged tonsils.  The thing that distinguished theKali carb. is that they have a lot of flatulence and distension and are nearly always blown  out, in their respiratory troubles and they have a great deal of difficulty in getting rid of their flatulence.

Great tendency to decaying teeth.  A lot of dental trouble, early decay, inflammed gums, and a very unhealthy mouth, and they have a pale flabby, flattish tongue.  “Tongue feels too large”, is very useful Kali-carb. symptom.

A great deal internal coldness and just as bad as Hepar sulph. about being uncovered..
Occasionally it is a frightfully useful remedy in cholecystitis.

Mostly thirsty - desire sour fluids, love sweets or sugar, and a funny thing, they complain of a great physical weakness but with it their sweet hunger.  Averse to meat.  Like all Kalis., inclined to take much starch.  I always think that is why the Kalis., on the whole are so fat.

Girls get far too frequent and profuse periods, great tendency for Polyps and Fibroids.

(M.G.BLACKIE, BHJ. 1 / 77)

  Weight gain following child birth.
(HUI BON HOA, BHJ. 2 / 75)

A major remedy for fluid retention; the Materia Medicas mention the dropsical states: but the water isssue goes further than that.  There is a generalized sensation of dryness: dry cough, dry stool, dry skin, dry hair, dry eyes, dry throat, dry tongue and so on.  The urine flows very slowly and the perspiration is scanty or suppressed.

As with many other Polychrests, there is a polarity so that symptom of excess water are just as pronounced.  Tendency to weep, continual gathering of water in the mouth, excessive Lachrymation, diminition of sight after working in water, regurgitation of water from the stomach, tendency to profuse sweats and night sweats.  There is a sensation of stomach being full of water, even dreams of water and of weeping.  Wherever there is an issue to do with water or the lack of it, Kali carbonicum ought to be considered along with Alumina, Bryonia, Natrum muriaticum and Nux moschata.

It has a strong affinity to the digestive tract, particularly Stomach and Liver.  Emotions affect the Stomach, and Liver.  Emotions affect the Stomach, particularly anxiety, fear or sudden shock like the slamming of a door.  Often there are Palpitation, Dyspnoea, and other respiratory or heart symptoms as secondary to digestive trouble.

Causation:  Those who have never been well since Childbirth, Abortion, Miscarriage, Back or Pelvic injury and over-straining the Back.  The key theme in all they are all capable of producing a degree of physcial misalignment.  When Childbirth or Abortion leave a residual infection, Pyrogen would be the leading remedy, and where the Trauma is predominantly emotional Ignatia, Staphysagria and others would be most likely indicated.  With Kali carbonicum it is a more mechanical trauma affecting the Uterus, Pelvis or back, especially Lumbar.  Hence it is often indicated after a prolonged or difficult Child-birth, such as a forceps delivery.  Hysterectomy can be added as a causation.
PMS.  Sleeplessness before the periods, especially 2 - 5 a.m. also ovarian soreness, backache or pains in the legs before the periods.  Vaginal itching before periods, Constipation before periods, Uterine pains before or during the periods which extends down the thighs or labor pains extending down the thighs (Viburnum).

It has proved curative in Uterine displacement, Fibroids and Cysts, Dysmenorrhoea, Metrorrhagia, Endometriosis, Pelvic inflammatory disease and Menopausal complaints.  Haemorrhages or other disurbance, following mechanical removal or after birth or retained Placenta or after a D & C.
Hypersensitivity  of the soles is present in many patients for whom Kali-c. is indicated.

Emotional instability is often present, especially when intensified about a week before the periods.  The women describe this as terrible ‘mood-swings’, as if I am ‘on a tight rope’, etc.

Many patients use the word ‘control’ while describing their emotional state: “I am afraid that I might lose control”: “My husband says I should stop worrying about things that are outside my control”, “I like to be in control of the situation”: “We have an on-going battle about who is in control”

An element of fear is uusually present.  One patient presented with a crystal-clear physical picture of the remedy, mentioned a fear that she experienced whenever she had to rise to urinate at night, and which I asked her to describe in detail.  She said: “It has to do with the emptiness in the house, fear of a presence, of something-unknown: that someone will come and touch you: the fear seemed to be pressing  on my back. “I was amazed to discover how will she had described a number of Kali carbonicum fears in that sentence - in the repertory we find ‘ fear of evil, ‘fear of ghosts’, ‘fear of touch’, and ‘fear of being alone in the evening’.  Also, ‘fear at 3 A.M.’, which was the time at which she invariably had to rise.

On the emotional level, Kali carb. seems to overlap closely with Phosphorus in many areas - the oversensitivity, fearfulnes, desire for company etc.  Often with Kali-c., however, that is additionally a hard edge to the personality that is not seen with Phosphorus, which manifests as a kind of obstinacy, dogmation or rigidity in a certain areas of their life.

In my experience, Kali-c. patients often withhold or re-emphasize emotional symptoms but I have never had difficulty in eliciting physcial symptoms.

(Ian WATSON, SIM. 3/91)

Stitching, lancinating, jerking pains, wherever the complaints are.  These come on whether the patient moves or not.  In the typical right Lower Lobe Pneumonia, the stitches are unrelated to the respiratory excursion and are not relieved by strapping or lying on the affected side as are those of Bryonia.  The backache dates from Childbirth, where the complaint is “Oh, my back this” - “Oh, my back that.”

(Donald A.DAVIS, HG, 8/81)

Whimsical, difficult, fussy, fat, chilly, rather ticklish (both in the soles and in disposition).
(E.W.HUBBARD, HG, 1/80)

Do not prescribe to an individual who is not afraid of loneliness.

(Tomas PASCHERO, HG, 6/80)

It has a complicated and intriguing mentality, witty,  whimsical, sensitive to changes of mental atmosphere also, a ticklish proposition in spirit as in body, impossible on committees because of its touchiness, trying in the family quarrelling with its bread and butter but ingenious and vastly capable.

(E.W.HUBBARD, HG. 6/78)

Desires sweets and sour.  Craves hot drinks. Gouty; Foamy Urine.
The Kali carb. patient is not one who interests you or stirs your pity.
They feel as though something was loose in the brain; as though fishbone in the throat.  Partial sweat; pains charge location.  Sweat on painful part.
They are of low sexuality and worse after coition.  Cardiac insufficiency.  Sleepy after eating.  Often anaemic.
It is a difficult remedy to prescribe, and one of those which give the most trying aggravations.
    (E.W. HUBBARD, HG, 7/71)

The ticklish T’s.  One of the difficult patients.  Plump chilly, asthmatic full of Indigestion and Gas.  Malicious, spiteful, timid, whimsical.  One of the most susceptible to drafts.  Kali carbonicum is not the captain of its soul.  It is slack and has no Will; fears illness, death and the future; craves company.  Defeatism combined with much ado about nothing.
  A vagotonic.  Peevish, fainting.
  Fatty degeneration usually low B.P.

Puffy over the eyes like Apis; stitching pains in the right chest like Bryonia.  Shortness of breath prevents eating.  One of the few remedies whose expectoration flies out of the mouth in a ball, cold expectoration.

The asthmatic sits bent forward for relief (opp. Spongia)

Dyspepsia of the aged; distension with cold abdomen.

Desires sweets and sour.  Craves hot drinks.

  Gouty; foamy urine.
The Kali carbonicum patient is not one who interests your or stirs you pity.

They feel as though something was loose in the brain; as though fish bone in the throat.  Partial sweat; pains change location.  Sweat on painful part.

They are of low sexuality and worse after coition.  Cardiac insufficiency.  Sleepy after eating.  Often anaemic.

It is a difficult remedy to prescribe, and one of those which give the most trying aggravations.
(E.W.HUBBARD, HG. 7/71)

This remedy is full of rheumatic pains.  It is also a remedy for “back labor”.  The person has an impression that the heart is hanging by a thread.  Infants reject the company of others once their appetite is satisfied.
   (DG)

 KALI CHLORATUM

White nasal or post-nasal discharge, white expectoration.  (Often the patient means ‘clear’ when he says ‘white’.  Question and observe)  Toxaemia of pregnancy with Proteinuria.  Proteinuria in children.  In boys it may occur after exercise or play and is not always pathological.  I always get a Urologist’s opinion to rule out Kidney trouble.  Kali-chlor  clears the Protein in the urine.)  where the Kidney are primarily affected and there is Protein in the urine, as in Nephrotic Syndrome. (Eel serum)

  (DAVID WEMBER, JAIH, 1-92)

 KALI HYDROIODICUM

It is a powerful solvent of Tumors and of the effect products left in the tissues after acute inflammatory infections.

    (DONALD A. DAVIS, HG. 8-81)

 KALI IODATUM

Useful in removing residues of Mercury and Lead in the tissues.
  (David WEMBER, HT. Jan./92)

Asthma ameliorated by movement in the open air; a tendency to purpuric hemorrhaging, especially on the legs; and Anal Fissures in infants.    (DG)

Sciatica: Night agg. (Kali. Hours) lying on painful side agg: motion, walking.
Amel.: open air.
  (Vassilis GHEGAS, HL. 3-93)

 KALI  SULPHURICUM

Obstinate Bronchitis with yellow Sputum; Asthma, Bronchitis, Backache or Sciatica with intolerance of warm atmosphere.  Continuous hip pain  > walking about.
  (Vassilis GHEGAS, HL. 2 & 3/94)

I always think it is a cross between Sulphur and Pulsatilla.

There is a typical appearance of heaviness, sluggishness, tiredness, as if they could not be bothered more.  They nearly always have a coarse skin and a high colour.  One often thinks of Sulphur on first seeing them.  They nearly are rather fat and definitely slow.  They complain very much of feeling tired, but it is more that they are lazy and do not want to move.  They do not really get the exhaustion of some of the other Kalis.  They just have an aversion to work of any kind whether mental/physical.  They honestly do not like work.  They can be extremely sorry for themselves.  They are depressed as a rule and lack confidence.  They tell you that they are frightfully tired and that they cannot help it and that it is awful because they have a lot to do and their brain just will not work.  Timid, impatient, liable to changeable mood, cheerful one minute, right down the next.  If you try to help them, they very often cheer up.  They are very often very anxious about themselves, quite often for no reason, and they are worse in the evening and also in the early morning when they take a very gloomy view of life.  If you attempt to jolly them out of their rather dull mood they can be frightfully angry.  One of the very obstinate patients.
Giddiness with fullness of head, hot face.

Itching skin, possibly all over the body, anywhere or everywhere.

They are always catarrhal.  Tend to get a catarrhal Conjunctivitis; Eyelids crusty, itchy worse in a warm room.  Crusts round the eyes and any discharge is always yellowish.  All the Kali sulph. discharges are thick, yellow or greenish yellow.  The nasal discharges which are thick and yellow cause intense itching of the nose.

It has Haemorrhoids like some of the other Kalis but also intense peri-anal itching as part of it.

All the symptoms are apt to be worse indoors, especially when it is warm.  They do not like warmth, are worse in the evening, and from exertion.  The patients (even children, for whom I have found the medicine very useful) get very sluggish and hot after any exertion, then sweat profusely and catch cold.

They look sort of stagnant when they are at rest and they are better, and say they are better, and know it - even when they are quite small children - from moving about.

They are very heavy in the evenings and often worse after food.  Like the other Kalis they are sensitive to noise.  I think that Kali sulph is the most irritable at noise.

They catch cold after a bath, hot or cold.  The characteristic headache is fully congestive with an intense feeling of fullness and heaviness in the head.

Copius Catarrh and Cough; get very flushed with this.  Usually it is worse in the right side and the chest just bubbles when you listen to it.  Cough is worse eating, better cold drinks and cold air; they complain that there is an irritation low down in the trachea and they cough up typical greenish-yellow sputum.

Yellow coated tongue.  Insipid taste, even water tastes so.

Severe rheumatic pains better moving about and in open air.  With this, and their red cheeks and coarse skin, you may want to give them Sulphur.  But you cannot, because they have extremely cold hands and feet.

Sleep is seldom restful.  Dreams of ghosts, robbers; they are always struggling or fighting in sleep, wake in terror.  The children with acute chests get troubled by their dreams.
They all tend to sweat, especially in their rheumatism generally their rheumatic pains are worse in summer.  They like gentle motion, and mostly are better from warmth.
(M.G.BLACKIE, BHJ. 1/77)

 KALMIA LATIFOLIA

Where Neuralgia is concerned, the key is given by the area affected.  In cases of facial Neuralgia, if no other dominant characteristic is found, right sidedness is sufficient to prescibe Kalmia.  For other Neuralgias, the indications forKalmia are precise: in cervico-brachial sharp, (shooting pain) and in the direction of the hand, the remedy is Kalmia.  If the pain spreads to little finger (auricularis, 5th finger) the remedy is Kalmia.  If the pain affects “a large part of a limb” (BOERICKE), the remedy is again Kalmia.  These indications are certain and are confirmed daily.

Kalmia is a difficult remedy to handle and some times needs to be repeated, or complemented by another remedy.  In all cases of Neuralgia we wait long after a single dose, to avoid undue aggravations.

COWPERTHWAITE prescribed the tincture of Kalmia;  in view of the frequent aggravation reactions, it is worth trying this.  COWPERTHWAITE was very conversant laterally to him.

Heart disease that alternate with rheumatism or develep out of rheumatism (HERING).  The important indication is the slow pulse.  Wandering rheumatic pains like Puls. but unlike Puls., the Kalmia pains are not better by motion.

“Muscles of the neck tender to touch.  The patient is worse in the Sun and improve when the Sun goes in behind Clouds.”
  NEATBY and STONHAM.

 KREOSOTUM

The Kreosotum child has tooth problems.  The teeth come out with cavities, and a violent red eruption breaks out on the buttocks during teething.  Kreosotum prefers to turn aggression inward rather than against another, which is in fact a fertile ground for the development of severe illnesses such as Cancer.    (DG)
