 VALERIANA OFFICINALIS 

  This remedy corresponds to Hypersensitive children and Nervous adults for whom apparently well chosen remedies do not seem to work.  Symptoms as Earaches and Sore throats, Spasmodic Asthma, Nausea and loss of consciousness after emotions or excitements.  Infants regurgitate curdled milk after nursing, and sometimes have Diarrhoea with screaming and agitation.

 VERATRUM ALBUM 

  The individual is excitable, and cuts everything within reach, then relapses and total muteness and refuses to eat.  Children can feign illness.  They can become ill when a baby brother or sister is born.      (DG) 
  
 VIPERA 
  
  All forms of Epistaxis, as well as Haemorrhages, especially Haematuria.  Valuable in acute Phlebitis.  Discoloration of the limbs, Cardiac Dropsy, Lymphangioma, and Gangrene and Ulcers in paralysed parts are other Cardiovascular troubles. 

  The nervous system symptoms are seen in Polyneuritis, Neurasthenias, severe leg Cramps, hyperactive reflexed and Paraplegias later extending upward.  It has been successfully employed in Polio and Multiple Sclerosis. 

  Another  emphasized area is the Liver and Vipera may look like Chelidonium, with violent pain in Hepatomegaly, Jaundice and Fever.  They are better from bilious vomiting.  It has use in liver Cancer and Liver problems arising from emotional states. 

  There is a poor resistance to Cold, and Vipera is worse touch, pressure and change of weather.  It is impossible to swallow solids, and they are better by sweating.  Skin peels in large sheets.
