MAGNESIA CARBONICA 

  Magnesium carbonicum is a Hypersensitive child, very nervous, very restless, who gets into everything.  Children who are abandoned by their parents, and then have to make an effort to adapt to life in an institution or adoptive family.    (DG) 
  
 MAGNESIUM MURIATICUM 
  
  Cannot accept things the way they are.  Fight for Minorities in the Society.  Cannot tolerate Injustice, but unlike Causticum, won’t use violence for their cause.  Strong impulse to stand up against Social Injustice but cannot use violence of any kind.  They feel the need for courage but so sensitive, that they cannot tolerate violence even on T.V.  Peace makers,  cannot bear conflict.

  This remedy corresponds to people who are sensitive, peaceable, loving and who opt for a submissive style of collective living.    (DG) 
  
 MAGNESIA PHOSPHORICA 

  This is an anti-spasmodic remedy.  The pains are cramping and relieved by heat.

  Young girls with great Fear of Insanity, especially those who come from a strong religious family.  They believe their sexual thoughts are sinful, and they will end up in hell.  Tremendous Fear of Hell, the Ddevil, and Insanity. Weeps and weeps.  One gives Pulsatilla, it doesn’t act.

 MEDORRHINUM 

  There is something in Medorrhinum which you get without asking; they enter the room, and they have a particular kind of energy that is sexual.  ....along with the erotic, artistic charcteristics; there is the defiance, the contradictory - revolutionary attitudes, the extravagance.

  Sensitive and intense, you can feel it when they speak.  There is an emotional expression similar to  Phosphorous, but less superficial.  They expose from the heart, you feel good talking to them. 

  Some men may be with feminine characteristics.  Intuitive, clairvoyant.  (Can detect underground water etc.)  There is a hard Medorrhinum type which dwells on Alcohol and Sex - not very likable.  But the hard and soft facets may be found in a single person.

  Children who are out of control, demanding constant attention, Angry, Defiant, argumentative to maintain their point: cannot take a ‘no’. 

  Mimic others’ behaviour to spite them; enjoy others’ pain and hurt; hit others with a smile.  But transient remorse and sadness for the pain inflicted.  Unpredictable mood changes; sweet and nice, suddenly violent.  Attention deficit disorder; Hyperactivity,  Refuses to go to bed at night, Sleep in cat naps.

   A SUMMARY OF THE MENTAL SYMPTOMS OF MEDORRHINUM 
  
  The erotic-aggressive instincts are exalted and heightened in the Medorrhinum patient, resulting in sudden brief spurts of over-activity.  When this is compounded with a tuberculin background, it is as much more detached or subdued than Thuja.  This Medorrhinum-Tuberculin combination produces a “minus condition” and does not show the destructive activity usually found in the more hypertrophic Thuja type. 

  If the disease form of Medorrhinum comes first in the beginning of the psychotic manifestations, and then is impregnated with Tuberculosis, Thuja then offers a picture of complete psychopathic development in the mental spheres. 

  The anxiety of Conscience is expressed much the same as Thuja.  The Moral Conscience may develop a  claim of an affected perversion, such as “he is a genius” whereas the Medorrhinum-Thuja patient will under-value his conflict, and his solution will be in Fear and Insecure patterns of reaction.  Thuja will find solutions through hypertrophic and Ego aggressiveness. 

  To summarize the mental scheme of Medorrhinum, there are two fundamental aspects of the psychotic miasma: a weakening memory and mind, and an “affected” perversion to solve conflicts.

Three Reactive Symptoms featuring fright: Delusion something terrible has happened. 

A.  Paranoid projection of his own aggressive  Delusions: sees Rats, Faces, People,  
pushes buried in the  Unconscious towards the  someone is behind him, someone  
World as he sees it, and appearing as Delusions  comes and looks at him, voices  
while awake, and as Dreams while asleep.  whisper and say “come”.  
  
Repressions of movements forming on the   Dreams of Ghosts, Spectres, 
other side the basis for an Obsessive Neurosis.  Frightful and horrible Dreams    

B. State of permanent escaping vis-a-vis these   Hurry, Impatience, restless, 
  aggressions, a state of enlivened Psychosis.  anxiousness at night,  
  Escape from himself.  Anxiety for time, appointments, 
  starting from noises during Sleep,  
   sensitive to rudeness. 
  
C. Hypersensitive towards the circumstantial  Dullness: children appear dull  
  world,expressed through startling.   mentally, weakness of memory,  
  names adresses, his own name, 
  forget words while speaking, forgets  
   for stating symptoms, thoughts  
  vanish, cannot write connected 
   sentences. 

Second aspect 
Memory Deterioration - Selective ability 
for abstract things; forgets names, what he  had read, uses inaccurate words, 
mental dullness as a weight on the 
Vertex seeming to affect the mind. 
  
Two symptoms featuring Mental Dullness:    Self-confidence lacking 

A.  Anticipation, provoked by loss of self  Mistakes made during headache  
  confidence, due to mind weakening.  Time anxiety if supposed to keep, or  
  to meet at given time. 

B.  Hurried, anxious, restless pushing him to   Indisposed to talk or listen when 
  try think faster than his mind is capable.  weary. 
  
  Does not want to speak or listen to anyone.  Procrastination of mind during headache 
  Procrastinates: morning on waking, aversion to mental work 
  Five symptoms Resulting from   work seems impossible, 
  Mental dullness    work seems to drive him crazy 

1.  Procrastination of work or thought.    Irritability: 
  Being forced to produce seems to   reading, 
  drive him crazy.  writing, 
  trifles, 
    over-conscientious about trifles. 

2.  Irritability at mental effort either in  Time passes slowly, 
    reading or writing  confounds present with past  

3.  Fear to be wrong - writes down minute,  delusion, as if in a dream delusion,  
  trivial details to try and prevent   everything is unreal 
  mistakes.  .  
    Mood changes: 

4.  Loss of time - a consequence of hurry and    cross by day, exhilarating at night,    
  dullness  weeping when spoken to, 

5.  Loss of feeling  for reality -  sad thinking of complaints, 
  despairs of recovery, tired of living,  loathing of life, indifference 
  thinks of suicide as a solution to his torment.  to life,. despairs religious salvation.

  Children sometimes have a serious illness at a young age or from birth.  Infants may be born with Eczema. 

  Often develops illness after Vaccination. 

  Juvenile Arthritis. 
  Leaders with strong personalities (children/teenagers); can be wild teenagers.

  An attempt is made to control what moves in and out of the body.  These individuals are constantly projecting their minds into the future.  Lack of control leads to skin tumors and Cancer.      (DG) 
 
 MERCURIUS 

  Anger held inside causes the symptoms.  (Colocynth - Cramp; Staphysagria - Hypersensitive; Causticum - Fight.). 

  Inflexible; very correct (Kali.) with strong feelings towards traditions, cannot accept modern ideas or fashions.  A STRONG SENSE OF NATIONAL SOCIALISM, REACTS TO WHAT HE FEELS IS UNJUST AND CAN KILL. 

  Does not react immediately but boils inside (Nux-v., reacts immediately); when the control goes it all bursts out.  QUIET ON THE OUTSIDE BUT SEE THINGS INSIDE,  given away by the tremulous voice.  Impulses to kill, but may not admit this.  Pathologies: occluded arteries leading to hypertension; formation of stones; intermittent claudication. 

  In one case the patient did things “right”, but his new boss was not good at correct execution of work, which the patient did not like, yet could not speak out.  The anger built up inside until occluded areteries resulted. 

  In essence, when others are not as disciplined as one and one cannot speak out, the Mercury state arises.

 MERCURIUS SOLUBILIS 

  We find Mercurius among the ranks of over-talented precocious children who skip a grade, or are again among the leaders of teenage gangs.  Restless into everything, joking, bold, dictatorial and may also be egocentric, indifferent to loved ones, even subject to homicidal impulses. 
  
 MILLEFOLIUM 

  CHIRON the Centaur is said to have taught Achilles the warrior, the use of Achilles as a woundwort.  (Hence the name Achilles Millefolium.)  HOMER gives  a graphic account of its use for a battle wound.  The Roman legions called it Herba Militaris.  Millefolium is suited to cuts and bruises - especially both together – such as would be caused by a sharp or blunt instrument hitting the body (as in a war).  (Arnica for strains/sprains, pulls, bruise, over-exertions, injury from blunt instruments.) 
Also as a tincture/salve locally.

 MORGAN GAERTNER 

  Of value in Cholecystitis, Hiatus hernia and Diverticulitis. 

  The Morgan case has a Keynote of congestion.  The patient is hot with deep internal venous stasis of the Carbons, and the Hyperaemia of surface circulation of Sulphur. 

  It has relationships with Skin and Liver disease with circulatory disturbance of the limbs, Varicose veins, Chillblains, Oedema, Hot feet; with headache and high B. P., with congestion of lungs and Pelvic organs.  Congestion of the stomach lining, and of the Liver, with dirty mouth, indigestion and bilious vomiting.  Gallbladder conditons, constipation, Piles. 

  These patients are often introspective, anxious about their health, and irritable with a tendency to Depression.

 MORGAN PURE 

  Often indicated in atopic states.  Congestion.  Serious and anxious.  Often mixed indications for Sulph., Calc., and Lyc., and in skin cases, Petr.  Reliable in Bartholin’s abscess, useful in ‘fibrositis’.
